An excellent play out of the I-Form Pro to attack man and zone coverage is the Angle. This play has the halfback running an angle route. There are not to many defenses in the game that can defend his pass route without the defense either making pre-snap adjustments or it is manually defended.

Before he breaks over the middle on his angle route or after he makes his break towards the middle of the field. For instance if a blitz is called from the right side of the offensive line, he will be open before he breaks towards the middle. If man coverage is called, wait for the halfback to break towards the middle of the field before making the throw. |
