Coaching Points:
- We generally look for the tight end, as he breaks towards the corner when running the Gun Tight Doubles On – Pivot Fork. Ideally, you want to throw to him against Cover 0 and Cover 1 coverage. However, against Cover 2 man coverage, he will be open as well because the flanker’s post route often forces the deep safety playing that deep side of 1/2 field to come inside. When making the throw, throw the pass hard right.
- Another option we look to throw to the is the slot receiver, who runs the zig (whip). Once he breaks towards the side line, we look to throw to him providing, he gains a step or two on his man.
- The post route run by the flanker is an option against Cover 0 and Cover 2.
- The deep in route, ran by the split end is another receiver to look for once he breaks inside.
