Phillyron over at Madden101 has posted two Madden 12 breakdowns from the Detriot Lions playbook. The first play he shows is how he likes to run the Gun Ace Twins – Post against man coverage.
The following is excerpt from the post that was posted by Phillyron called “Guns Ace Twins – Post”.
“The Gun Ace Twins is an Awesome football formation that you can use in Madden. It is extremely versatile because it allows us to mirror the personnel from the Singleback Ace formation as well as the Singleback Ace Pair Flex. When used interchangable these formations can give any real life or virtual opponent a headache.
Lets get right into how we set up the Gun Ace Twins Post, Madden 101 style:
- Hot route the SE (Split End(X) to a Fade
- Hot route the Slot (B) to a streak
- Hot route the TE2 (LB) to a slant out
The route combinations we use in this play are designed to beat both man and zone coverage. However, in this Madden 101 Offensive session we are facing the 4-3 Over Cover 1 Press. The Green Bay Packers are the best man press team in the game, but the Gun Ace Twins Post gives us an opportunity to beat the defense.”
