Phillyron posted an Madden 12 article over at Madden 101.com about the auto drop feature. In the write up, he shows a simple solution to avoiding easy sacks because of the auto drop back feature.
The following is an excerpt from the article called “Auto Vick” that post on Aug 27, 2011 by Philyron.
Michael Vick is the true ultimate weapon in Madden NFL 12 as well as on the football field. A few years back EA Sports put an automatic drop back animation in the game to take away the athletic ability of some Quarterbacks and force everyone to play quarterback from the pocket. In keeping with the “Real to the game” aspect that EA has adopted this year I want to show you a simple solution to avoiding easy sacks because of the auto drop back feature. (If you’re a Sim player this is not for you)
The play call really doesn’t matter when we showcase how to stay “Real to the game” and prevent the auto drop back feature. We will come to the field in a under center play called the Singleback Ace Curl Flats.
The 5-2 is a solid defensive formation that shows great protection versus the run as well as giving a blitz threat look to the offense.
