Madden 101 is back this week with another stellar blitz set up by our peer MVP. In this Madden 12 tip PhillyRon showcases the way to set the 4-6 defensive formation up to bring “A” gap pressure all the time. The benefit of using the set ups that we provide at Madden101 is because they can be used interchangeably with any play in the formation.
From experience we can tell you that many players who flock to individual play calls and set ups often find themselves facing the same play they use or the play not being effective because of the familiarity of that play.
This Madden 101 Defensive Blitz set up is designed to keep the defense’s play calling unique while giving the defense the same expected result, “A” gap pressure.
Any play call can be used when using this great defensive set up, submitted by one of our resident Madden 101 gurus, MVP. For the purpose of this article we have chosen the 4-6 Normal Man QB Spy and are using the speed package. (please note: the defense is using the 46 defensive playbook)
On offense we’ve brought the team to the field running the Gun Doubles Skins Seams. We ran a similar offensive play last week and want to continue bringing the offense to the field with a play that incorporates a delay route out of the backfield. Many people believe that blue routes delay blitzes but that is a myth.
Setting up this Madden 101 blitz is rather easy to do. The first step is to shift the defensive line to the right. (Lb + right on 360 / L1 + right on PS3)
