The Gun Spread HB Wk – Rip 61 Vertical is an excellent veridical passing play to attack zone coverage. It features two inside seam routes with one having the option to run a dig route if the middle of the field is open.

Coaching Points:
- If the defense plays one high, the quarterback is taught to move the safety with eyes and throw to the opposite seam. ]
- If the defense plays two high, throw off of safety to the S’s side.
- If the quarterback cant beat the pass coverage 12 yards look for the comeback routes, otherwise he will dump it off to the H running the check and release curl.
