MaddenGuides.com returns to the Virtual Gridiron. I started breaking down strategies for Madden back in 2000, but I didn’t have my own site. I used to give my strategies to Blygilmore, who had a Madden League called the BMfl. He would post my Madden strategies for the league.  I decided I wanted to expand the Madden Strategies I was writing not just to players in the BMFL league, but also for Madden players playing on the PC version in other leagues and those playing online. Back in 2000 there was no online play for consoles. I had to decide how I was going to achieve this. I decided to create a website named Madden Guides. In 2001, I launched my first set of Madden Strategies. At the time it was the first Madden site that used text, images, telestrations, and video to breakdown Madden.

The design of the site wasn’t very good since I didn’t know that much about creating websites. The telestrations, were not any better. However, the content was pretty in-depth. Over the next few months I started to see my traffic growing. I didn’t sell any of the content. It was just a hobby that I enjoyed doing when I wasn’t working my real 40 hour job.

By the end of 2001 the factory I was working at was shutdown, I decided I better go back to college and learn something I would enjoy. I studied web design. Over the next two years I learned how to develop web sites. During this time I joined the VG Sports team to create Madden Strategies and Madden Tips. Although I stopped writing strategies for Madden Guides, I still kept the Madden Guides url for the last 19 years.

I am married with two teenagers and have a full time job. Despite the responsibilities of being a husband and father, I have not lost the passion for playing and breaking down Madden. Some of you who have followed me over the years know I created another football site called XsOs Football. That site was created to bring video game football and real football together. XsOs Football still remains active and has has ton of content. It will continue to remain up. Most of the content that is posted there will be for real football. The Madden Guides site will be geared towards Madden specifically.
