Bullets head coach Mike McCormick knew coming into this game against the Springfield Wildcats that it was going to be a tough one. His kids did a great job at holding their own against a bigger team. The Wildcats are not your typical football team as they consist of some of the better players from the entire Springfield area. With that said, the Bullets were able to keep the game close and even had chance win.

On offense Stephen Gleason led the team in rushing with a 126 yards, plus got in the end zone twice.

On defense, George Spaniol had a great game as he led the Bullets with 7 tackles. Charlie Johnson chipped in with 4 tackles.

Overall, the team should be proud of what have accomplished so far this season. If they all stay together, they have a good chance of doing something special not only for this year, but also when they get to high school.

Game 4:  Williamsville Bullets Vs North Mack Panthers

Teams Qrt 1 Qrt 2 Qrt 3 Qrt 4 OT Final Score
Bullets 16 14 8 0 0 38
Panthers 0 8 0 0 0 8

The Williamsville Bullets 7th grade youth football team was pumped this past weekend as they knew what was at stake against co-leader of the CIJFL, the North Mack Panthers.

The Bullets offense continued to do what they do best and that’s run the ball. Stephen Gleason had over 100 yards rushing. He also scored on a hook and ladder play that was pretty cool to watch in action. George Spaniol had 52 yards rushing, plus got in the end zone once. Quarterback Noah Sanders completed two passes for 69 yards and one touchdown pass. He also picked up over 50 yards on ground. Max Olysav added the final rushing touchdown of the night.

On defense, the Bullets continue to playing a swarming type style of defense that’s been unmatched by any other team in the league this season. It’s not just one Bullet defender making tackles, it’s several of them. As someone taking stats, it’s not always easy to tell who made the tackle because it’s so many of them getting in on the action. That’s credit to the kids and coaches. Awesome job on defense so far this season.

This Wednesday night at Byron Field, the Bullets host the Springfield Wildcats. This should be a big test for Bullets on both sides of the ball as this team is big and fast.

See ya at the game

Hawks 0 0 0 0 0 0

The first regular game season for Williamsville was a great team effort on both sides of the ball as the Bullets shot down the high flying Hawks 34-0.

On offense, the team has a staple of runningbacks with different types of run styles that head coach Mike McCormick can use at his disposal. Regardless of which one of them carried the ball, the offensive lined was opening up huge holes to run the ball. Runningback George Spaniol, led all Bullet runningbacks with 70 yards on 7 carries, plus 1 rushing touchdown, and one completed pass. Runningback Max Olysav had two rushing touchdowns. New runningback Stephen Gleason had one touchdown. Quarterback Noah Sanders, had 4 carries for 77 yards and one touchdown. He also completed one pass for 12 yards. Sanders takes off for a long run

On defense the stout Bullet defensive lined did a great job at keeping Hawks runningbacks from getting outside. The linebackers did their part as well by filling in the gaps and help preventing any long runs. The Bullet’s secondary also did nice job at defending the pass. Defensive end Conor McCormick, led the team in tackles with 4.
